Romania scrambles jets after mystery object enters airspace

On 19th oct 2024 Romania had to send planes up in the air again cause something weird came into where its planes fly. This happened at night‚ around 2:30 am when most people were sleeping

The thing they saw was small and came from the Black Sea. Romania which is part of EU and NATO‚ sent its F-16 planes and Spain (who helps them) sent F-18 planes to look. But they couldnt find it - the thing just went away from their screens

Romania is next to Ukraine and they share a long border (about 400 miles). Lately‚ theyʼve been having trouble with stuff from Russia coming into their sky. Sometimes they even find bits of Russian drones on the ground near Ukraine

This isnt the first time this happened. Just two days before on 17th oct‚ they had to do the same thing: send planes to look for something strange in the sky

Its clear that the war in Ukraine is making things hard for countries nearby. Romania has to be extra careful now and watch its sky all the time. They dont want any surprises coming from the sea or anywhere else
