He is a 4-year-old boy, of Haitian nationality, from Port-au-Prince, who entered the country on November 18, 2022, via Dajabón. He was admitted to the Padre Fantino Hospital, in Monte Cristi where his condition is currently stable. Local health authorities have implemented epidemiological surveillance of the child's relatives, but the child only resides with his parents, who were treated preventively but did not show symptoms of the disease.
