"I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart, on my own behalf and on behalf of my wife Beatriz [kidnapped on June 7 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-36865-haiti-news-zapping.html and released on June 9 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-36889-haiti-news-zapping.html ], to the press and all those, both in Haiti and abroad, who have expressed their sympathy and solidarity during this dramatic ordeal that we have just experienced and are still experiencing.

We did not come out unscathed but we do not want to publicly pour out or make statements on the outcome of this painful event.

We remain attached to the land of Haiti, which we will not force us to abandon. I wish that we all fight so that it ceases to be the hell that it has become and where we only wait our turn to be brought to the slaughterhouse like sheep.
