Hamas warns Israel about secret rescue plans in new leaked message
Internal Hamas document from last year shows strict orders about hostage handling and threats against rescue attempts. Message refers to previous Israeli operation that freed four people
In a confidential document from late-2023 thats now public Hamas issued strict warnings about possible Israeli rescue missions. The group mentioned their intel about planned operations similar to last summers Nuseirat camp raid
The internal memo (distributed by Hamas military wing Izz el-Deen al-Qassam Brigades) told fighters to follow specific rules with hostages; without thinking of consequences. They also made direct threats to harm captives if Israel tried any rescue
Last June Israeli forces did a night-time operation in Nuseirat that freed four hostages — but local officials say it caused over 200 deaths. The memo gives new rules about captives living conditions and quick-response plans
Defense Minister Israel Katz recently hinted at progress: saying pressure on Hamas is growing and theres hope for a deal. The situation started after Hamas fighters crossed the border about a year ago
- They killed 1‚200 people in Israeli towns
- They took more than 250 hostages
- Israeli response killed over 44‚500 Palestinians
- Most of Gaza is now destroyed
The document doesnt give exact timing for possible rescue attempts but tells Hamas members to be ready for immediate action if Israel makes any moves
