New face takes over Boebert's old seat in Colorado: Election results shock many
Republican **Jeff Hurd** secured victory in Coloradoʼs 3rd District after **Lauren Boebert** switched to different region. His win over Democrat **Adam Frisch** showed bigger margin than previous race
In a notable political shift Jeff Hurd‚ a more low-key Republican has won the Colorado House seat (previously held by Lauren Boebert) who switched districts mid-campaign
The election results from nov-7 showed Hurd leading by 11‚500 votes against Democrat Adam Frisch in the states Rocky Mountain region: a much wider gap than the razor-thin margin of previous race. The traditional-minded Republicanʼs success fulfilled Boebertʼs strategy when she left the 3rd District race hoping to keep the seat red
Meanwhile Boebert herself found success in her new political home winning the 4th Congressional District on tue-5. Her previous victory against Frisch in the same seat about 2 years ago was decided by just 546 votes which made this years decisive win even more significant
The unofficial vote count (as reported by election officials) showed Hurdʼs more moderate-style approach resonated better with voters in the mountain district where he demonstrated a different kind of conservative leadership than his predecessor
