Night drone swarm hits Ukraine as winter approaches: Multiple cities under attack
Russian forces launched massive drone-and-missile strikes across Ukraine hitting several major cities. Over 140 drones targeted power stations and city centers while missiles damaged buildings in Kharkiv and Odesa
In a large-scale night-time assault‚ Russian forces hit multiple Ukrainian cities with drones and missiles (a mix of high-tech and low-cost weapons that overwhelmed air defenses)
The air-force reported that out of 145 attack-drones used in the strikes they managed to shoot down 71 while another 71 disappeared from radars due to electronic-warfare. Kyiv residents heard the low-pitch drone engines buzzing above their heads for hours as defense systems tried to protect the city
In the north-eastern part of the country Oleh Synehubov the regional governor said that missiles hit Kharkiv damaging over 40 buildings and leaving 23 people hurt. The southern port-city of Odesa also got hit: 10 people injured residential areas damaged. The attacks didnt stop there – Mykolaiv region lost power after strikes on its energy grid while Zaporizhzhiaʼs factories got damaged too
These Russian attacks on Ukrainian life can be stopped
The strikes which come almost 3 years since Russias full invasion started show a pattern of targeting vital infrastructure. The UN says about 12000 civilians died but local officials think its more. With winter coming peoples fear of blackouts grows; however this time Kyiv escaped without major damage
