North Korea sends thousands of soldiers to help Russia in Ukraine conflict
US officials spot 10000 North-Korean troops near Ukraine border getting ready for combat. Pentagon confirms soldiers training in drones and artillery while NK tests new missile
Antony Blinken reports that about ten-thousand North-Korean soldiers are now in Russia with most of them stationed in Kursk region (where Ukrainian forces have been holding ground since last summer)
The troops are getting ready for combat operations — Russia provides training in basic-infantry tasks drones and artillery. Lloyd Austin confirms that these soldiers might enter the fight against Ukraine real soon: “We expect to see them deployed in the upcoming days“
This meat-grinder war shows Russias clear sign of weakness
The situation gets more complex as North Korea just tested its longest-flying ICBM which flew for 87 mins; South Korea thinks Pyongyang might get missile tech from Moscow in return for military help
US officials want China to step-in and control NKʼs actions but Beijing keeps its neutral stance calling for de-escalation from all sides. The Pentagon doesnt see any proof of Russian involvement in the recent missile launch yet
Meanwhile in Kursk Lloyd Austin thinks Ukrainian forces can keep control of captured territory despite NK reinforcements. Russian daily losses are around 1250 soldiers which is way more than the number of North-Korean troops coming in
The international community plans to discuss this at UN Security Council meeting next week. Several countries including:
- United States
- France
- Japan
- Malta
- South Korea
- Slovenia
- Britain
Will meet to address both the ICBM launch and North-Korean involvement in Ukraine conflict
