North Korea shows off new missile system that worries global experts
North Korea tested its new-gen Hwasong-19 missile yesterday claiming its the strongest in world. The test showed better performance than earlier versions but experts point to remaining tech issues
Yesterday North Korea fired its brand-new Hwasong-19 missile system which flew way-up in the sky for quite some time (longer than any other NK weapon before)
The countrys state media says its the worlds best strategic missile: a well-thought-out response to their enemies actions. Kim Jong Un watched the test himself and gave big-thanks to his tech-savvy team for showing off their nuclear skills
The new system might use solid fuel which is better than liquid because:
- Takes less time to get ready
- Easier to move around
- Harder for other countries to spot
- More quick-response ready
South Koreas military expert Lee Sung Joon points out that the high-angle shot doesnt prove if the missile can handle coming back to Earth properly. The test seems like a show-off move right before the US picks its next president; also its kinda linked to NK sending some help to Russia these days
Tech-wise experts say NK still needs to fix some stuff before they get a working mainland-USA-reaching missile: heat protection re-entry skills better steering and maybe putting more than one warhead on it (to beat defense systems). All their tests including this one went straight-up to avoid hitting other countries nearby
The whole thing shows how NK and Russia are getting closer military-wise; Western countries dont like this team-up because Russia might share some high-tech missile stuff with NK
