Russian spy boss tells NATO what happens if they help Ukraine strike Russia
Russiaʼs top spy warns NATO countries about helping Ukraine with long-range strikes. Its a direct response to Ukraine using US-made missiles against Russian targets just yesterday
Sergei Naryshkin‚ Russias top spy chief made clear statements bout consequences for NATO if they help Ukraine strike deep into Russian territory. His warning comes right after Ukraine used US-made missiles to hit Russian targets on 11/19/24 (which was also the conflicts 1000th day)
In an interview with National Defence magazine‚ Naryshkin pointed to recent changes in Russias nuclear-use rules: “our enemies must understand that the presidents commitment to protect our interests with all tools makes it harder for Washington and Brussels to act freely“
The timing is important here - Ukraine just got ok from Joe Bidenʼs team to use ATACMS missiles which can reach far into Russia. The spy boss says any NATO country helping with such strikes will face punishment; he didnt specify what kind
The military-political elites of the West are becoming increasingly aware of the seriousness of Russiaʼs intentions
Here are key points from the updated Russian policy:
* Lower threshold for using nuclear weapons
* New rules about responding to regular weapon attacks
* Broader conditions for nuclear response
US security teams say they dont see reasons to change their nuclear position but Naryshkin thinks the West is being more careful now - he believes these changes make it impossible to beat Russia in combat (though he showed no proof for this claim)
The spy chief thinks NATO now knows they need to be more careful to avoid direct fighting with Russia which could lead to really bad results
