Single doctor left after military search ends at Gaza hospital
Israeli military finished search-operation at north Gazaʼs Kamal Adwan Hospital stating they found enemy base there. Multiple medical staff got detained while one pediatrician stays to help patients
The Israeli Defense Forces ended its multi-day operation at north Gazaʼs Kamal Adwan Hospital today (which was the regions last working medical facility). The military stated they had intel about enemy forces using this place as their command-center.
During the search-operation which started on Oct 25th health ministry officials reported several issues:
- Medical workers got injuries
- Some patients didnt survive
- Most hospital staff were taken away
- Just one kids doctor remains on-duty
The IDF carried out detailed checks of the building - looking for proof of militant activity in the medical center (which was supposed to be protected under international rules). The remaining pediatrician faces a tough task: providing care without proper staff support; the situation at the facility remains hard to manage
