US voters rush to polls as early numbers hint at possible new record
Early-voting numbers show 85.9M Americans already cast their ballots before Nov 5th election day. Georgia and North Carolina set new pre-election records while total turnout might break 2020s high
Pre-election stats show huge voter activity in USA with more than 85‚9M citizens casting their votes before nov 5th (according to U-Florida Election Lab data). Two swing-states — Georgia and North Carolina — already broke their early-voting records
The previous election in 2020 brought out 158M voters which was about 67% of those who could vote — a record-high number at that time. Many vote-by-mail and early-voting options that started during covid times are still working today which helps more people participate in the process
The current race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump doesnt show clear signs of which side gets more benefit from high turnout. Both democratic and republican voters seem to be using early-voting options; however final numbers will come after election day counting is done
