Ban on import of Indian birds lifted

MUSCAT: Dr Fuad bin Jaafar al Sajwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, issued a ministerial decision to lift the ban on import of live birds, their products, derivatives and wastes from the Indian states of Haryana and Punjab. This decision comes as per the recommendation of the veterinary authority. The authority said the reason for banning the import of live birds, their products, derivatives and their wastes from these Indian states is no more applicable.
