APIA, SAMOA – 28 JULY 2023: The two men who attacked a woman at a Lotopa shop early this week are currently under police custody to await their appearance in Court.
The two men who covered their faces with fabric were caught in a video clip attacking the shop keeper.
In the video clip, both were standing beside the shop counter then suddenly, one of them grabbed the shopkeeper from behind as if to strangle her. The shop keeper fell to the floor and the attacker grabbed something then fled.
The second guy also grabbed an item off the counter then fled from the shop.
Police Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo said as they were investigating the incident, the family of one of the men brought him to the police station.
He said the young man’s face was covered with bruises from an alleged beating by his father.
Both will appear in Court next month.
