German police crack down on militant group with Nazi-like name in eastern regions

German authorities launched a big-scale operation against a right-wing group that used name similar to nazi-era forces (the group called itself Saechsische Separatisten or SS for short)

The police caught 8 people who were part of a militant organization that wanted to destroy current German system. Joerg S‚ a 23-year old leader got caught in Poland‚ while others were found near Leipzig Dresden and Meissen

This group started about 4 years ago and had around 15-20 members who liked nazi ideas; they thought German society would soon fall apart. They did lots of training – learning how to fight in cities use guns and move at night (they even got real military stuff like helmets and bullet-proof vests)

One interesting detail: Kurt H who is part of nationalist AfD party and works in Grimma city council got caught too. Its not the first time something like this happens in Germany – about 2 years ago police found another group that wanted to take over government

The group members believed in something they called “Day X“ – a time when they would take control in east Germany. They wanted to make their own system there and push away people they dont like: these ideas show clear racist thinking

  • They did military-style training
  • Got combat equipment
  • Focused on urban fighting skills
  • Learned night operations

Our security authorities have thus thwarted at an early stage militant coup plans by right-wing terrorists who were longing for a Day X to attack people and our state with armed force
