Netanyahu meets US peace-makers as Lebanon border conflict takes new victims
US diplomats visit Israel to discuss peace deals for Gaza and Lebanon as violence intensifies on both fronts. Recent attacks result in multiple casualties while evacuation efforts continue in affected areas
Benjamin Netanyahu met with American peace-makers to talk about north Israel safety issues; he stated that protecting borders and getting people back home are more important than paper agreements

Brett McGurk and Amos Hochstein brought ideas about stopping fights in both areas - Lebanon and Gaza. Sources say theres a plan for a 2-month break where armed groups would move away from south Litani River
The fighting got worse near Baalbek (an old Roman city) where Israel dropped bombs for 2 days straight; People rushed to leave in their cars after getting warnings. Many ran to Deir al-Ahmar town but its having problems with helping everyone - some folks had to sleep in cars
The main issue is not the paperwork of this or that agreement but Israels ability and determination to enforce the agreement and thwart any threat to its security from Lebanon
The town of Khiyam saw lots of action with Hezbollah using rockets against Israeli forces; its been 4 days of non-stop fighting there. Around 20 people (mostly women and kids) are stuck in Wazzani town nearby but nobody can get them out. A source says Hezbollah wants to keep Israel from destroying buildings in Khiyam like they did in other places
