Peru's president faces family drama as court hunts for missing brother

A peruvian court made a big-time decision on nov-19: Nicanor Boluarte‚ brother of President Dina Boluarte‚ needs to stay behind bars for up to 3 years during an investigation

The court wants him for some not-so-clean stuff: using his sisters power to get favors‚ taking money under the table and being part of a sketchy group (which might include his high-ranking sis). After he skipped two court meet-ups this week; police got orders to find him fast — last time anyone saw him was on a video call last sunday

Three other people are also on the polices radar; Judge Richard Concepcion Carhuancho thinks theres a good chance Nicanor did these things. The judge says he might run away because hes got connections in high places

This isnt the first time Nicanor got in hot water — back in may cops showed up at his house looking for info about his sisters fancy watches. Dina (whos not very popular right now and has to stay president till mid-2026) says its all made up. Shes got her own problems too: theres that thing about people dying during protests when she first got the job about 2 years ago

His lawyers dont like what they hear — theyre gonna try to change the judges mind. The whole mess started when Dina became boss after the old president got kicked out for trying to shut down congress
