In a troubling turn-of-events a security guard opened fire at two Chinese workers in a Karachi-based garment factory on Nov 5th. The victims were rushed to Liaquat National Hospital where one remains in a life-threatening condition
Police set-up a wide security-zone around the industrial-area facility (with forensic teams collecting evidence on-site) but the guard managed to escape. Senior police officer Faizan Ali confirmed the shooting but didnt share additional details about the incident
This attack follows another violent episode from last month when two Chinese engineers lost their lives in a bomb-blast near Karachis airport. The Baloch Liberation Army took responsibility for that attack
