APIA, SAMOA – 02 JUNE 2022: Motorists are paying 39.9 sene more for petrol and 68.71 sene more for diesel with new price increases now effective for June.
For petrol, prices increase from $3.34 to $3.74 a litre and diesel from $3.30 to $3.98 a litre.
Kerosene also goes up by 65.81sene from $2.87 to $3.53 a litre.
The Minister of Finance, Mulipola Anarosa Ale-Molioo said the impact of the Russia/Ukraine war has resulted in further significant global increases in crude oil and product prices as concerns grow regarding the continuity of crude oil supply.
“This is an external shock that no country is immune to the impact these increase are having on their economies and this includes the Pacific,” said the Minister.
