Accra Hearts Of Oak And Asante Kotoko Told To Do One Thing To Be Successful In CAF Competitions

Ahead of the commencement of 2022/23 CAF inter club competitions, Ghanaian representatives Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of have told to keep their quality players to be able to make an impact in the their respective competitions. Fatawu Dauda believes the inability of Ghanaian clubs to keep their best material has been the bane behind their dismal performance in the continental showpiece.

“It has been our problem on how to keep our quality players . But to go far at CAF club competition, you should be able to keep your best players to compete at the highest level.” Fatawu Dauda told Hot corner sports on Hot Tv.

Players of both Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak usually leave the shores of Ghana after the end of the season.

Asante Kotoko have been dealt a blow over the departure of integral players that include deputy skipper Imoro Ibrahim, midfielder Mudasiru Salifu and Fabio Gama. Top scorer Frank Etouga is reportedly on his way out of the club. They have brought on board Steven Mukwawla and are busy wrapping up transfer deals.

Accra Hearts of Oak are likely to lose key performer Daniel Afriyie Barnieh as offers have been tabled by some clubs for his services.
