Miss Dumba’23 Grand Finale: Kambomma wears the crown, Genevieve and Tuurosung runner-ups

Kambomma triumphed as the winner of the 2023 Miss Dumba Beauty Contest, representing the Wa Sombo. She impressed the judges and audience with her stage presence and was crowned the queen of the competition.

Following closely behind her were Genevieve from the Jirapa District and Tuurosung from Wa Dondoli, who became the first and second runner-ups, respectively. These three contestants emerged as the top competitors after a series of auditions and stages throughout the contest.

Kambomma demonstrated her queenly qualities throughout the competition, earning a total of eight awards, including two for being the Star Performer, four for being the Most Eloquent, and two for having the Best Costume.

Genevieve, who came very close to winning, also received seven stage awards, including three for being the Star Performer, two for being the Most Eloquent, and two for having the Best Costume.

Tuurosung, the second runner-up, won five initial stage awards, including two for having the Best Costume, one for being the Star Performer, and two for being the Most Eloquent.

Sumaya, the third runner-up, also received several awards throughout the competition.

The grand finale of the contest took place on Saturday night, and Kambomma emerged as the ultimate winner. She was crowned earlier today at the Wa Regional Library and received a brand new motorbike as part of her prize. She will also be presented at the Wa Naa’s palace during the Dumba Festival celebration.

The Miss Dumba Beauty Contest is a collaboration between Pelbip Events and the Overlord of the Wala Traditional Area, Wa Naa Seidu Fuseini Pelpuo IV. Its aim is to showcase the rich culture of the Upper West Region and promote investment opportunities in the area.
