The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah, has expressed his intent to retrieve GH₵2.5 million, which he had originally sent to the Ghana Police for distribution to customers.

In an interview on Starr FM, he clarified that the police were initially engaged for security purposes and not as distributors.

The money had been deposited in the Bank of Ghana against the agreed arrangement. The police, acting upon the advice of the Office of the Attorney-General, had directed the amount to the Police Exhibit account at the Bank of Ghana for court-related purposes.

The decision on the disbursement of these funds will ultimately be determined by the court. The outcome of Nana Appiah Mensah’s request to reclaim the money from the police remains uncertain.
