Re-elected Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku, is beside himself with worry following the recent Black Stars performance.
The senior national soccer male side suffered two streak losses against Mexico and US in less than a week in recent international friendlies.
The uninspiring results has stoked debate among the football fraternity; casting doubt over the team’s readiness for the forthcoming African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
But the GFA boss remains confident that the team will come good and shine again.
He said in an interview that his outfit share the sentiments of the many football populace as a result of the happenings.
And like students of the game, the team is young, and one of the surest ways to ensure growth and continuity is they staying together to correct their wrongs in their quest for revival in all departments.
The FA chief pointed out that a lot of talks have gone on after the two international friendlies, and indications were that the playing, technical and other departments have resolved to ensure that the team rises from the shackles.
“…our Black Stars must rise again, but l am a disturbed man,” the FA chief stated in an interview, signifying how worried he has become and his determination to turn things around for the country’s flagship football brand.
Ghana has been housed in Group B with heavyweight Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique for the AFCON 2023 showpiece in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Stars will be hoping to break the over four decade trophy famine.
