Accra Hearts of Oak on redemption mission at Tarkwa against Medeama SC in betPawa Premier League

Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak will look for their first win in three games in all competitions as they trek to Tarkwa to play Medeama SC on Saturday.

This betPawa Premier League action, will be played at the Akoon Community Park, where the home side has recorded some impressive wins over the Phobians in recent times.

Coach Slavko Matic’s side, were damned out of the MTN FA Cup competition by Dreams FC last weekend as they lost their two-year hold on the title.

The Serbian will hope for better fortune today as they go in search of their sixth win of the season as they seek to win the diadem at the end of the campaign.

The league is the only competition Hearts of Oak can win this season having been knocked out of the two other competitions they entered, the CAF Confederation Cup and the local knockout competition.

The Phobians are fifth on the table with 21 points, four points adrift of leaders Aduana FC going into this weekend’s round of matches.

The Akoon Community Park in Tarkwa has not been a good hunting ground for them, and they will have to be at their very best if they hope to get something out of this game against the Yellow and Mauves who have vowed to win this encounter.

Medeama SC lie 10th on the table with 17 points, and a win in front of their home fans, could see them jump to sixth if other results go their way this weekend.

In the other game on Saturday, Tamale City FC will host Bibiani Gold Stars at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Tamale where they will look for their third win of the campaign.

City, are in the relegation zone with 11 points, and do need to put together some consistent results in their quest to beat the drop.

Gold Stars are sixth on the betPawa Premier League table with 20 points, and they could be second after these round of matches if they win and other Matchday 14 games goes their way.
