Accra Hearts of Oak step up preparations for CAF Confederation Cup this weekend

Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak have stepped up preparations for this weekend’s CAF Confederation Cup game in Mali.

The Phobians, will face Real Bamako in a first leg first round encounter as they seek to gain qualification to the group stage of the competition.

With the betPawa Premier League on hold following the court action taken by AshantiGold SC against the Ghana Football Association, Hearts of Oak are making their own plans for the game.

They have stepped up their preparations at their Pobiman Sports Complex with the team expected to depart Ghana for the game on Thursday.

The club has announced David Ocloo as interim coach following the departure of Samuel Boadu and, the former Liberty Professionals and Asante Kotoko coach, would be expected to bring his knowledge to the fore as Hearts of Oak seek to do well in the competition.

The game will be played in the Malian capital of Bamako on Saturday afternoon where Hearts of Oak will look to post a good result to give them an advantage in the return encounter next weekend in Accra.
