Alan Kyeremanten Leads Dr. Bawumia And Kennedy Agyapong In Latest Online Poll For 2024

The 2024 general election is tagged to be the biggest election in the country’s history. This is because the New Patriotic Party(NPP) is determined to make sure that they win the elections and be the first party to break the eight in the fourth republic.

The NDC, on the other hand believes that the tenure of office for the NPP ends in 2024 and for that reason, they will do everything in their power to win the elections. Each party will have to present a candidate that will help them achieve their goal.

Angel FM has conducted an online poll on their Twitter page on three key hopefuls for the NPP. Ghanaians were to select amongst Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the position of NPP flag bearer.

At the end of the poll, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten was the winner with 48.6% of the total votes cast. Kennedy Agyapong was second with 40.8% of the votes cast. The vice president of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia had just 10.6% of the votes.

This results may not show the actual reflection in the NPP’s primaries. However, Ghanaians have spoken. Could this mean that the vice president is not performing to the expectations of Ghanaians. One could conclude that if the vice president had over 40%, it could even mean that he is the people’s choice. But 10.6% is not .

The reactions above shows that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia isn’t quite the favorite for most people. Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central constituency seems to be winning hearts of the people.

New Patriotic Party elects Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten as the party’s flag bearer, he is likely to face John Dramani Mahama, Ghana’s former president in the 2024 elections. Some Ghanaians have hopes that the Alan Kyeremanten will defeat Mahama, while others think otherwise.
