Be Mindful Of What You Say – Kidi says as he apologizes to Mahama, Sarkodie and others over his old tweets

Dennis Nana Dwamena, better known as KiDi, is a Ghanaian high-life and afrobeats singer and songwriter.

Signed by Richie Mensah into his record label Lynx Entertainment, Kidi is arguably one of the indomitable stars of the new generation.

Kidi is best known for his single “Odo”. The remix version of the song features Nigerian megastars Mayorkun and Davido which has had massive airplay across Africa.

Kidi has been trending on social media for the past 24 hours for what we describe as ” Unfortunate incidence”.

Old tweets dug out by twitter users revealed the “agenda boy” role the singer played on the micro-blogging platform many years ago before his appearance in the limelight.

In a few of the tweets available to us, he described Dalay as illiterate, Asamoah Gyan as Lazy, John Mahama’s Speech as useless and many others.

However, after heavy back lashes from many angles, the “Touch It” singer apologized for the wrongs and also admitted that he was young and ignorant.

Years ago, when I was young and ignorant and didn’t understand the implications and consequences of my words, I tweeted things that were inappropriate and unkind. As I matured, I came to be extremely regretful of these actions and how they affected the parties involved,” he said.

In the statement released on his Twitter page, he continued that “I apologizepologise again to everyone for the statements I made, and use this to remind us all to be mindful of the things we say and how they affect people. Let’s be Kind to each other”.
