Bechem United move second on betPawa Premier League table after 3-1 away win over Legon Cities

Bechem United moved second on the betPawa Premier League table after beating Legon Cities 3-1 today in the capital.

This game was the opener of the Matchday 14 fixtures this weekend, and was played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Legon Cities opened the scoring early in the game when Alex Aso put them in the lead as they sought their fifth win of the campaign.

However, Bechem United accepted the challenge and scored three goals without reply as they posted their seventh win of the season.

Emmanuel Avornyo, Clinton Doudu and Hafiz Konkoni, scored for the Hunters as they registered their second away win this season to move second on the table, chasing their first top-flight title.

Bechem United have 23 points from the 14 matches they have played, one point behind leaders Aduana FC who play on Sunday against Accra Lions.

Legon Cities are winless in their last five matches, and occupy the 12th position with 17 points in the 18-club league contest.

They will look to pick up the pieces in their next game, but the day belonged to Bechem United who will feel confident of achieving their aim of winning the title as the season wores on.
