The past weekend saw some amazing results recorded on the opening day of the National Division One League (DOL) across all three zones.
Former Elite Division campaigners Liberty Professionals, Tano Bofoakwa and Elmina Sharks, all posted wins on the opening weekend with Tema Youth, Berekum Arsenal and New Edubiase United, suffering surprising defeats.
In Zone One A, Steadfast FC posted a 3-0 win over Wa Suntaa at home in Tamale; Maana FC scored a 1-0 win over Kumbung Binbiem.
In the same zone, Wa Yaasin FC, posted a 1-0 over Nankana United to start their campaign on a good note.
In Zone One B, Bofoakwa Tano beat Baffour Soccer Academy 1-0 in Sunyani; Debibi United won 2-1 at home to Techiman Eleven Wonders with B.A United drawing 1-1 at home to Nkoranza Warriors.
Berekum Arsenal lost 1-2 at home in Berekum against Wamanafo Mighty Royals.
In Zone Two, Kenpong Soccer Academy drew 0-0 with Soccer Intellectuals at home; Sefwi All Stars beat Asokwa Deportivo 3-0 at home; Nations FC were 3-1 winners over Swedru All Blacks with Future Stars FC drawing 0-0 at home to WAFA.
Baseke Holy Stars beat New Edubiase United 1-0 at home; Elmina Sharks won 2-1 at home to Nzema kotoko with Asekem FC drawing 2-2 with Pacific Heroes at Beposo.
The action in Zone Three saw Golden Kick FC lose 1-2 at home to Liberty Professionals; Vision FC won 2-1 against Tudu Mighty Jets with Tema Youth losing 0-1 at home to Na God FC.
Uncle T United drew 1-1 at home to Koforidua Semper FC; Volta Rangers posted a 2-1 home win over Akatsi All Stars with Krystal Palace winning 2-0 at home to Susubiribi SC at Akosombo.
