Come And Tell Ghanaians What You Went To Do At Togbe Afede’s House

Paul Adom Otchere has been trending for some reportage he made about his fellow journalist. It is no secret that Paul Adom Otchere, host of Good Evening Ghana and Manasseh Azure of the Fourth Estate are not on talking terms. This reached a crescendo when Manasseh made a damning publication about the Lighthouse Chapel headed by Dag Heward Mills. Paul called the report as crass journalism.

Wall, on Good Evening Ghana yesterday, Paul once again raised questions about the journalistic principles of Manasseh. He called on Manasseh to delete a certain derogatory tweet he made against chiefs. Manasseh had earlier made a pronouncement that the booing of President Akufo-Addo reflected the true feelings of Ghanaians. He blasted chiefs for not telling the president the truth and rather singing his praises.

According to Paul, it was outrageous for Manasseh to insult chiefs and later go to the house of Togbe Afede. He wondered what Manasseh went to Togbe’s house to do. Paul explained that the chieftaincy institution is one of the tools that has preserved peace in Ghana and as such people like Manasseh Azure should not be entertained when they make certain comments about chiefs.

“If you don’t have respect for the individual you cannot disrespect the stool of chiefs in Ghana and equate them to praise singers. Because you hate Akufo-Addo you cannot write anything you want. Put the photo of him and Togbe Afede. Isn’t that him. He is giving his book to Togbe and I don’t know how much Togbe paid” Paul explained.

According to Paul it was preposterous for Manasseh to condemn chiefs and then visit one of the chiefs for assistance. He challenged Manasseh to tell Ghanaians what he went to Togbe’s house to do. He called on Manasseh Azure to go and delete his post about chiefs. He called on his fellow journalist to stop trying to destroy chiefs because he hates the President and focus on being a better journalist.
