Comparing Amount Of Money Chelsea Spent In January With The Expenses Made By Other European Leagues

Chelsea is probably the most hated Football in Europe right now. Two Summers ago, Chelsea signed Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan for a club record fee of £97.5million.

After a season of awful performance, the West London club loaned him to Inter Milan. In 2020, Chelsea signed Timo Werner from Rb Leipzig. After two seasons of inconsistent performance, Chelsea sold him back to Rb Leipzig.

Despite the Losses, Chelsea have continued to invest in the squad as they signed new Players last summer but, the club outdone themselves and the rest of Europe with their expenses this winter.

Chelsea spent around €329million in the just concluded Winter transfer window to sign new Players. The Blues signed Enzo Fernandez for a Premier League record fee from Benfica.

They signed Joao Felix on an expensive loan deal. They snatched Mykhaylo Mudryk from Arsenal. Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos, Malo Gusto and Noni Madueke are the other Players that arrived at Chelsea in January, bringing the total amount of money spent by the Blues in January to €329million, according to One Football.

The Rest of the Top Leagues in Europe the German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga and French Ligue 1 spent just €246million this January.
