CSIR-SARI has inaugurated new Board of Management

Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR-SARI)

The newly sworn in Director General (DG) of Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) paid a courtesy visit to the CSIR-Savanna Agricultural Research Institute (SARI) to acquaint himself with the staff and also swear in a new seven team Management Board for the Institute (CSIR-SARI) into office, enhancing productivity and cooperation in the institute.

A press statement signed by Mr Wilhelm Nomu Kutah, the Communication Officer at CSIR-SARI and a copy to Ghana News Agency stated that Dr Paul Bossu, was appointed as the newly Director General of CSIR and other newly Management Board members of CSIR- SARI included: Dr. Mathias Fosu as the Board Chairman, Mrs. Genevieve Yankey the CSIR Director of administration representing the DG, Dr. Ebenezer Ansah as the Cognate Director of the Animal Research Institute, Prof Isaac Asante, a lecturer form University of Ghana.

The others were Mallam Seidu from the Private Sector and Manager of Kokobila Farms Limited, Madam Janet Chigabatia Adama, from the Private Sector and Manager of Savanna Farmers Marketing Company and Dr Francis Kusi the Acting Director of CSIR- SARI.

Dr. Paul Bossu, the newly appointed Director General entreated the institute members to work harder for productivity to achieve the goals of the institute and he also asked the staff to use their ability to transform the Institution by addressing the challenges.

He gave an assurance that his administration would develop implementation to enhance CSIR- SARI vision and also to mobilize financial resources to improve the performance of the institute and staff.

He appealed for support from the staff to achieve these visions for the institution.

Professor Robert Kingsford Adabor, the Chairman of the CSIR, advised the newly Management Board to promote discipline in the institutions as one of the ways forward.
