Delete That Post Before I ‘Deal’ With You – Paul Adom Otchere Sends Message To Fellow Journalist

Last Saturday Ghanaians witnessed a rather interesting spectacle at the Global Citizen Festival in Accra. The event which was held to create awareness about eradicating poverty saw President Akufo-Addo deliver the keynote address to the massive crowd. The president called in the youth to be proactive in finding solutions to the problems of Ghana.

Many journalists reacted to what happened with mixed reactions. Government communicators explained that this booing was masterminded by the opposition NDC. The opposition have also denied any wrongdoing. Well, Manasseh Azure pointed out that what happened to the President on Saturday was the reflection of how Ghanaians felt. He bemoaned how certain chiefs sang praises to the President.

According to Manasseh, these chiefs end up deceiving President Akufo-Addo and keep him from knowing the real plight of the ordinary Ghanaian. On Good evening Ghana, Paul Adom Otchere has blasted Manasseh Azure for his comment. According to him, Chiefs are supposed to be neutral and so by drawing them into partisan politics, Manasseh was destroying the institution of chieftaincy

Paul wondered why a sacked journalist like Manasseh will open his mother insult the President and traditional rulers. He called on Manasseh to delete that tweet he posted that denigrated Chiefs and the president. He called on Manasseh to act like an intellectual and do the right thing by deleting that tweet from his account before he further engages him.

Interestingly, Paul used Togbe Afede as an example and questioned Manasseh if Togbe was part of those who also sang praises to the President. Paul went on to explain that the hooting of the president was planned by some critics of the president. He called on the opposition to the president to stop trying to destroy the president and rather join hands to build the country. Were the boos masterminded or it reflected the opinion of Ghanaians in general?
