Gary Nimako Queries NIA-What Prevents You From Working Swiftly?, Attracts Replies From Citizens

On Today’s discussion hosted by TV3’s Alfred Ocansey, the panel members emphasised the need to have a clear understanding of the country’s electoral processes especially the elections register for the upcoming 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

According to the New Patriotic Party’s Gary Nimako, a legal team member, the Ghana Card is a problem solver in the electoral process.

” I do not know what Is preventing the National Identification Authority from registering and issuing the cards expeditiously. The Ghana Card is very important and any challenge that is preventing the NIA from doing its work should be looked at and addressed immediately”.

He made this comment during the morning show’s discussion on the essence of using the Ghana card for voter registration.

NDC’s Kofi Adams indicated that the decision of the Electoral Commission to rely solely on the Ghana Card is unjustifiable.

Dr Asah, the political lecturer, indicated the need for the Electoral Commission to address all trust issues confronting the smooth running of the electoral procedures.

NPP Legal Team Member, Gary Nimako, did not mince words but consistently queried the NIA for not smoothing the card registration operations.

Many Ghanaians have reacted to Gary Nimako’s remarks as some citizens revealed some challenges of the NIA system.
