Mlolongo Resident Recalls Encounter With Convicted Killer Leliman

Lots of talk has surrounded former sergeant Frederick Leliman ever since he was sentenced to death for the murder of lawyer Willy Kimani at the Milimani law courts. Citizen TV went to the Mlolongo region in Machakos County, where the former cop began plotting the murder of lawyer Willy Kimani over seven years ago, in an effort to learn more about his background.

While conducting interviews with locals in the area where Leliman served as an officer, the mere mention of his name brings back painful memories for many. A local cobbler by the name of Samuel Gitogo claims that Leliman was no stranger to scandal and that the policeman once shot an individual right before his face.

“Watu walikuwa wanamwogopa juu ya kuua watu kiholela. Siwezi sema namba ya wale ameeua lakini amewahi piga mtu risasi nikiona.” Gitogo recalled.

Leliman has two further charges ongoing against him despite his life sentence. In one, he is suspected of killing Peter Musyoka on 2 June 2016, and in the other, he is accused of murdering Jacob Mbae and Elizabeth Nduku in Mlolongo town on 27 May 2016 together with another man named Stephen Lelilei.
