Orengo Reveal Why Ruto Impressed Him During Siaya Tour, State What Elected Leaders Should Stop Doing

Siaya Governor James Orengo has revealed how President William Ruto has impressed him during his tour to Siaya County on Saturday, January 14th.

Delivering his speech at Asembo, Siaya County during Home Coming ceremony for the Cabinet Secretary in charge of ICT Eliud Owalo, Orengo said that Ruto knows most parts of the county, which is a sign that he is concerned on matters development.

“I had the benefit of flying with the president over this area, and I can assure as a matter of duty, he will ensure that all roads which are stalled just in other parts of the country will be completed. I want to applaud you, Your Excellency, you seem to know everywhere in Siaya, I do not know what you used to do here before, but I am impressed and I know that we are on the right track.

The vocal ODM governor urged all elected leaders to stop talking about the 2027 polls, saying that it is time to deliver on what they said they will do when they were looking for votes ahead of the August 9th polls.

“As elected leaders, it is wrong to talk about 2027, we should be talking about what we are doing now, not 2027.”

He also thanked President Ruto for appointing Owalo in to his cabinet, urging him to appoint more leaders from the Luo Nyanza Region.
