Osei Kyei Mensa Storms TV3 Studios With A Simple Message To Bagbin And Haruna Iddrisu

Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu joined Berla Mundi today, Wednesday, August 10, 2022 on TV3’s New Day. The Big Issue was to take place at 7am but this was interrupted to give space for the Majority Leader to take his turn on the show. Berla Muni and Osei Kyei Bonsu discussed issue relating to Parliament and how the Majority Leader has performed since the 8th Parliament started.

The 8th Parliament has been bedeviled with a lot of brouhaha especially since the House is almost balanced when it comes numbers. According to Osei Kyei Mensah he feels sad when people who have no idea about Parliamentary understanding accuse him on creating confusion in the house.

Osei Kyei Mensah mentioned that he as Majority Leader has done everything possible to bring unity between himself and the Minority Leader. Osei Kyei mentioned that since he came to Parliament he hasn’t seen any Majority Leader who has invited a Minority Leader to his office for consensus on an issues. He cited that Alban Bagbin, Kumbour, Cletus Avoka who had all served as Majority Leaders before never invited any Minority Leader of the NPP for discussion.

He recounted that he as Majority Leader is however a different breed and has on many occasions invited Haruna Iddrisu to his office so they solve their differences. According to Osei Kyei Mensah, sometimes the NDC feel that Haruna has been compromised but this isn’t the case because he has been inviting the leaders of the Minority so that peace prevails.

“Muntaka can walk to my office any time. I have been inviting Haruna Iddrisu to my office. No Majority Leader from the NDC has done this. Not even Bagbin when he was Majority Leader. None of them.” Osei Kyei Mensah said.

Osei Kyei Mensah called on Haruna Iddrisu and Bagbin to ensure that peace prevails in the House. He noted that himself, Haruna and Bagbin are the only ones who can ensure that peace prevails. He charged them to join hands with him to make the 8th Parliament one of the best.
