Phrank Shaibu: “Tinubu attacks the APC government each time he speaks.”

Phrank Shaibu, the PDP presidential candidate’s special assistant on public affairs, has stated that it is not surprising that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, attacked and criticized his party in his speech at an APC presidential campaign rally in recent weeks.

Shaibu, who spoke with AIT this morning, said that Tinubu’s recent comments about the value of the naira and the fuel crisis are nothing more than an attack on his party and that none of his spokespersons should come out to “interpret” Tinubu’s words.

“In his campaign yesterday, Tinubu stated that the exchange rate was 200 to 1 dollar, but it has since increased to 800 to 1 dollar. He stated that “they” were unable to accomplish the task due to a lack of capacity and knowledge. Who exactly are “they”? Who exactly is he implying? Everyone is aware that Tinubu is criticizing Buhari’s APC government. We are all aware of how much the exchange rate had changed by the time the APC took power in 2015; therefore, if the APC candidate used the term “they” in 2013, who are they?

It is unfortunate that his spokespersons now include “spin doctors” who will declare that Atiku Abubakar or the PDP is the “they” he is referring to. That is immorally pretentious.
