Sapashini Begins Boreholes Drilling Appreciation For His Community

The Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and performer Abdulai Abdul Basit, better known by his stage name Sapashini, has begun carrying out his promise to help the good people of his community, Gambaga, in the North East Region, where he is from.

The award-winning performer gave an interview on GTV’s Breakfast Show following the massive attendance at his Live Life concert on December 25, 2022, at the Bukum Boxing Arena in Accra.

During the interview, the singer of “Monica” said that he would drill a few boreholes for his community to provide them with clean drinking water with 30% of the concert dividends.

He explained that the exercise was a practical way for him to repay his community for their love and support for him and his career.

In his words “I am not going to use the [money] to buy expensive cars, build a house or something like that. I know where I am coming from and we don’t have good drinking water. So I am coming out with my foundation and at least, by March [this year], we should be able to drill three or four boreholes.

“Nobody is going to for us but ourselves that’s why I am pleading to use 30 percent of the profit I made from the concert to do it”, he added.

He continued “if anybody [wants to support] or invest, no problem but Sapashini is doing it, [and] I am doing it for Naa Gbewaa”.
