There’s A Town In Edo That Have Two Giant Factories But They Don’t Have A Bank -Adams Oshiomhole

(Adams Oshiomhole)

The naira redesign policy has stirred a whole lot of mixed reactions especially on issues regarding the deadline fixed by the CBN and the scarcity of new naira notes. Speaking on Channels TV, the former governor and present senetorial candidate of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole has lamented the difficulties and tension caused by the scarcity of new notes on Nigerians.

He revealed that in Edo State where he governed, only one out of six local governments in his senetorial zone have banks. He also revealed that there are no banks in Okpella, a town in Edo State which according to him has two giant cement factories.

Hear him;

“In my senetorial zone we have six local governments. Out of the six, only one local government have banks. The remaining five have no banks. And Edo is one of the oldest states in Nigeria being part of Midwest, later Bendel and now Edo and yet we have only one Local Government with banks. So even the most industrialized part of Edo State like Okpella where you have two giant cement factories, there is no bank there.”
