Those Youths Who Hooted At President Akufo-Addo Lack Proper Upbringing – NPP’s Jennifer Queen

Deputy Communications Director for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jennifer Queen has condemned a section of the youth who booed President Akufo-Addo at the recently held Global Citizens Festival in Accra.

President Akufo-Addo was heckled and booed by a section of the crowd at the musical festival which took place at the Black Stars Square on Saturday, September 26, 2022.

The President was there to speak on Poverty and what the government was doing to eradicate the same while championing and upholding national unity.

But patrons of the show, mostly the youth, will have none of whatever the president mounted on stage to talk about.

They Hooted at him and shouted ‘away, away’ to register their disappointment over his administration and the current hardship in the country.

But Ms Queen says those youths who subjected the President to that unfortunate public ridicule lack proper home training.

“This is becoming a norm nowadays. If a Minister, Vice President or a government official goes to a programme, you find people who go out to hoot at them.

“But what that tells is that a lot of these people lack home training. A lot of these people lack proper upbringing, she said in an interview with Accra-based Okay FM.
