Christian Atsu played for his club Hatayspor on Sunday and was on the scoring sheet. He wrote on Twitter after the game, “Important win for the team Happy to be on the scoresheet”
Ghana football international Christian Atsu is still trapped in the rubble in the Turkiye earthquake.
The Portuguese outlet A Bola had reported on Monday night that he had been pulled out of the rubble alive and taken to a hospital with breathing difficulties and an an injured foot.
But Hatayspor manager has denied the false reports that Christian Atsu is safe and said he was still trapped in rubble
Christian Atsu was ‘trapped’ after an earthquake in Turkiye on Monday dawn.
The 31-year-old, was caught up in the 7.7 magnitude earthquake which occurred on Monday.
The Portuguese outlet A Bola’s report
Hatayspor, Atsu’s current club, is located in the Turkish city of the Hatay, which is believed to be one of the areas worst affected by the incident.
As well as Atsu, it has been reported that the club’s sporting director Taner Savut and an interpreter were also trapped following the earthquake.
