The president was booed while on stage at the global citizen festival in Accra. It seems many were disenchanted with the first gentleman of the land and his presence was not welcomed.
As the President made remarks about the festival and the country, the crowd booed and it was like a scanty group of Ghanaians deployed to the area to do this. After the speech of the President, he waved at the crowd, almost ninety percent waved him back and one could hear from them that they were satisfied.
However, others weren’t happy to have him addressing them at the event. The festival was organized by global entertainment and held at the black star Square.
National security should be blamed for these security breaches because they should have gathered intelligence on the grounds before allowing the president to mount the podium. If they were proactive they would have seen something unfriendly from the crowd and in that sense, they will then advise the president not to attend the program.
They could have rather detailed the minister of creative arts or the minister for foreign affairs and regional integration to grace the occasion and that would have prevented this sort of embarrassment.
