Why Is Alan Kyerematen Silent About Galamsey, Corruption And The Growing Hardships In Ghana?

A journalist and a former Manager at Airtel Ghana, Raymond Ablorh has quizzed why Alan Kyerematen, a potential NPP Flagbearer, is silent on galamsey, corruption and the growing hardships in the country. He also asked what he may be benefitting in government that he is so careful he doesn’t want to offend Akufo-Addo.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Thursday, 6th October 2022, he wrote;

“I’m for Alan when it comes to NPP politics. But, so far, he hasn’t proven that he’s different in character, values and principles as he continues to portray complicity to what’s happening in government.”

He added that, Kennedy Agyapong (MP), Kwabena Agyapong and others have expressed worry about the mess in government but Alan is silent as if he doesn’t exist.

He questioned how Alan Kyerematen could prove that that he’s different. Under John Kufuor, Akufo-Addo was portrayed as incorruptible merely because he wasn’t caught in any corruption scandal but we’re wrong. The man never openly distinguished himself like Martin Amidu and others did in their own government.

Raymond added that, it’s the same way Alan is silently looking on while worse than what we endured under John Kufuor, John Mills and Mahama happen today under a government he’s a top member of.

He argued that he’s a top member of the Economic Management Team. What difference is he making there that could be communicated.

Why is he silent about corruption, galamsey and all the growing hardships? What is he benefiting in government that he is so careful he doesn’t want to offend Akufo-Addo and his people?” Raymond remarked.

A potential president must distinguish himself or herself when it comes to matters of character, values and principles. So far, we’re yet to see that. If he can co-exist with the rot and those involved then he may not be different than Bawumia. He added.
