It is only the most gullible of us who will believe what The State Media (NCN and Guyana Chronicle) portrays.
The State Media always tries to make the Government of the day look good. But with the advent of social media does Guyana need State Media?
The Guyana Chronicle and NCN should be privatised. By doing this it will strengthen the Government democratic credentials notwithstanding it will also create a level playing field for Guyanese media houses.
What is needed is free and impartial media not State Media which does the bidding of the Government of the day.
The PPP/C does not need the media to tell them they looking good. It needs the media to hold them and all stakeholders accountable.
