Alleged Clarendon gang member missing since being granted bail

It has been revealed that one of six alleged members of the Clarendon-based Bloods Gang has been missing since he was granted bail last year.

The disclosure was made in the Home Circuit Court on Wednesday.

During the proceedings, Justice Vinette Graham Allen, after enquiring about Steven Williams' whereabouts, was told that he is believed to be dead.

Mr. Williams's mother, who became emotional while informing Justice Graham Allen, told the court that his girlfriend reported him missing on August 5, 2021.

This was later confirmed by a police officer who appeared via Zoom.

The judge told the man who bailed Mr. Williams that until the prosecutor provides proof that he is dead, she's unable to release him as surety.

Mr. Williams, Abigayle Hydal, George Robinson, Travis Hardy, Franklin Miller, and Alex Miller are charged with murder.

A warrant was issued for Alex Miller who is on bail and failed to appear in court.

Hydal and Robinson appeared via Zoom while Hardy and Franklin Miller did not appear remotely due to technical difficulties where they're being held.

A plea and case management hearing was subsequently set for October 11.
