One of Jamaica's most wanted fugitives was shot dead during a police operation this afternoon.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Fitz Bailey confirmed that Nesta Morrison, otherwise called "Bigga Crime", of Eleven Miles, Bull Bay, was fatally shot in Longville Park, Clarendon.
DCP Bailey said the fugitive had been on the police's most wanted list for more than two years and had been asked numerous times to turn himself in.
"Bigger Crime rained terror on the citizens within the Eleven Mile, Bull Bay areas and its environment, killing and maiming several people," the senior cop said.
He called Morrison's killing a "victory" for the people of those communities and a relief since "he can no longer perpetrate those acts of violence against them".
