The decomposing body of a chef was discovered at his home on Killarney Avenue in Kingston 20 on Monday, August 15.
The deceased George Butler, 34, is believed to have been shot and killed.
According to sources, Butler did not show up for work at the Elletson Road Police Station canteen on Sunday.
While a number of his coworkers were checking on him at home on Monday, they discovered the burglar bar at his front door was opened, and an offensive odor coming from one of the bedrooms.
Butler’s car was also missing.
The police were alerted and upon their arrival, Butler’s body was discovered inside the bedroom with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
The crime scene was processed and the body later removed to the morgue.
Investigations continue.
