‘DEMON’ arrested, charged for triple murder

The police have confirmed that Kingston resident Damion Taylor, otherwise called ‘Demon’, was arrested and charge for the shooting death of three people on Red Hills Road, St Andrew in July 2021.

The 26-year-old Taylor was charged with three counts of murder, wounding with intent, and the illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

It is reported that about 7:50 p.m. on July 25, 2021, the victims were standing among a group of people when Taylor and two other men approached, and opened gunfire hitting several persons before escaping in the area.

The police were alerted and the injured were taken to hospital where three persons were pronounced dead, and the others were treated and released.

The deceased have been identified as 27-year-old Rushane White otherwise called ‘barber’, 29-year-old Kemonie White otherwise called ‘Shella’, and 27-year-old Alex Henry otherwise called Pelpa’.

Following investigations, Taylor was arrested.

He was pointed out during an identification parade, following which he was interviewed before being charged on Tuesday, February 07, 2023. His court date is being finalised.
