Haiti: Investigation report on assassination of President Moïse sent to Ministry of Justice

The General Inspectorate of National Police of Haiti has sent its investigation report on the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse to the Ministry of Justice.

This was disclosed to reporters by spokesperson for the National Police of Haiti, Divisional Inspector Garry Desrosiers.

He gave no details of the investigation.

While several people have been arrested and have appeared in courts in the United States linked to the assassination, no one has been formally charged.

Meanwhile, Desrosiers said 82 police officers have been imprisoned on the orders of the authorities for several alleged crimes.

He also revealed that between September and November, at least 40 people were killed in exchanges of gunfire with police. There were more than 1, 500 arrests.

More than a dozen weapons and ammunition were seized.
