Illegal Firearm and Ammo Seized: One illegal firearm and ten rounds of ammunition were seized during a joint police and military raid at an illegal party in West End Negril, Westmoreland, on Monday morning.
According to the Westmoreland Police, members of the security forces launched a targeted raid on the Motion City Bar between 12:30 and 2:45 a.m., when a party was in progress.
One chrome and black 9mm pistol was discovered in the grass at the back of the building during a search of the premises. A subsequent examination of the area uncovered one magazine containing ten live 9mm rounds.
The firearm was examined, and no visible serial number was discovered.
According to the report no arrest was made.
